Cavotec has signed two large contracts for €6.5 million ($7 million) to supply its PowerMove shore power systems to two Mediterranean ports.
These solutions will help RoRo vessels and cruise ships connect to shore electricity, dramatically lowering emissions and contributing to more sustainable port operations.
The initial order comprises five PowerMove mobile cable management devices for cruise and RoRo vessels.

Deliveries are planned to commence in mid-2025 and terminate at the end of the year.
The technology will allow vessels to run emissions-free while docked, resulting in decreased noise pollution, increased passenger comfort, fuel cost savings, and compliance with severe environmental requirements.
The second order is for two PowerMove shore power systems, which will be delivered in Q1 of 2026.
