The CMA CGM Group has announced the extension of its French Asia Line 1 (FAL) service into Poland, with a direct call to Gdansk.
The first Westbound voyage from Asia will depart from Busan, South Korea on 10 August with its MV CMA CGM Jacques Saade, arriving in Gdansk on 5 October.
The new FAL 1 rotation will be the following:

CMA CGM will now provide two complementing direct trips from Asia to Gdansk, FAL 1 and FAL 5.
According to CMA CGM, FAL 1 will provide a one-of-a-kind direct service from South Korea to Poland, allowing for extra capacity for project cargo as well as access to the Baltic through Gdansk.
FAL 1 follows the company’s efforts to reduce its environmental footprint by sailing aboard liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships.
In May 2023, CMA CGM announced that it will be changing its port of call in Poland.
More recently, technology group Wärtsilä announced that it will supply methanol-fuelled auxiliary engines for French giant CMA CGM.
