CMA CGM has announced it will launch a new seasonal service dedicated to exports of fruits and vegetables from Morocco to North America.
The NAMEX service will have the following port rotation:
Tanger Med (Morocco) – Halifax (Canada) – New York (US) – Philadelphia (US) – Norfolk (US) – Savannah (US) – Charleston (US) – Tanger Med
The inaugural voyage of the service, set to begin from the port of Tanger Med on 9 January, will feature the CMA CGM Chile, a containership with a capacity of 15,128 TEU.

The French shipping line noted that Tanger-Halifax will need seven days and Tanger-Philadelphia will need 13 days.
Last month, CMA CGM announced the revamping of its Asia West Africa & South Africa Services effective first week of December.
More recently, CMA CGM implemented changes on its FAL1 and FAL3 services connecting Asia with North Europe to improve operational efficiency.
