CMA CGM has announced the launch of its NEW TIKAL 2 service, complementing its current NEW TIKAL service.
This new loop is said to offer optimised connections to and from West Coast and Central America, while also allowing CMA CGM to enhance its allocation to match customers’ strong demand to and from Acajutla and Puerto Quetzal.
This weekly service is set to start in January 2022.
The full rotation is as follows: Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico) – Manzanillo (Dominican Republic) – Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala) – Acajutla (El Salvador) – Corinto (Nicaragua) – San Lorenzo (Argentina) – Puerto Quetzal – Lazaro Cardenas
The ocean carrier has also recently announced changes to its BRAZEX services for the new year.
Beginning with the m/v “NORTHERN DELEGATION” vessel, ETD Vitoria 1 January, BRAZEX 1 will stop calling at Itajai and instead will call at Navegantes.
The call list is now as follows: New Orleans – Houston – Veracruz – Kingston – Cartagena – Manzanillo – Manaus – Vitoria – Santos – Navegantes – Paranagua – Santos – Itaguai (1/2) – Salvador da Bahia (1/2) – Cartagena – Kingston – New Orleans.
Additionally, BRAZEX 2 will resume direct calls at Caucedo and Vila do Conde and stop calling at Fortaleza.
Starting with the m/v “CC MALTA”, ETD Kingston 12 February, the call rotation will be as follows: Kingston – Port of Spain – Rio de Janeiro – Santos – Navegantes – Vila do Conde – Caucedo – Kingston.
