COSCO Shipping has launched a China-Laos freight service for Jiangxi-made products

On 1 January, the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) officially came into force. The partnership resulted in RCEP’s organisation the operation of the train to address the difficulties faced by foreign trade enterprises in the Jiangxi Province.

This RCEP “COSCO Shipping” China-Laos International Train will travel along the newly opened China-Laos Railway and leave the country through the Mohan Border Port, and is expected to arrive in Vientiane, Laos in five days.

It is the first special train carrying Jiangxi-made products that departed from Jiangxi Province after the opening of the China-Laos Railway.

On 15 January a train loaded with 33 cases of auto parts, clothing, machinery tools, bags and agricultural supplies made in Jiangxi departed from the Xiangtang International Land Port in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.

Earlier this month COSCO Shipping launched a Special Train for Hisense Home Appliances loaded with Hisense electrical products slowly departed from Jimo Port Station.

The goods will be loaded on board a containership under COSCO Shipping Lines to Europe and South America after arriving at Huangdao Port Station.
