DP World expands services into retail and chemicals sectors

DP World has announced an expansion of its specialist logistics service offering for customers in the retail and chemical sectors.

The company already has expertise in chemicals through its subsidiary, Legend Logistics, a Singapore-based global logistics firm and it will now continue to expand this capability globally to serve the $4.2 trillion international chemicals industry.

DP World is already anticipating future challenges and opportunities, such as the need for more sustainable logistics solutions and expanding service reach to new emerging markets.

The company is also growing its retail sector solutions, adding greater ocean and air freight, cold chain logistics and warehousing capacity. DP World’s Hong-Kong-based subsidiary Cargo Services Far East, and its sister company CN Logistics, reportedly gives DP World the tools to cater for customers in the retail and high-end fashion sectors.

This includes not only expertise and technology but also comprehensive Purchase Order (PO) management capabilities.
