GEODIS has appointed Marc Vollet as Executive Vice-President of its European Road Network Line of Business.
He will join the Group’s Management Board, which is chaired by Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of GEODIS.
Vollet has 30 years of expertise managing operations and leading multinational teams for GEODIS.
His career began with a number of operational roles in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France.
Five years later, he became CEO of BM Chimie, a company that transports chemical and gas goods throughout Europe. Vollet was appointed Director of Operations for the Group’s European Road Network in 2009.
Between 2017 and 2019, he expanded his responsibilities by overseeing the buying and technical divisions, as well as the operational excellence and engineering units of the European Road Network Line of Business.
In 2021, he was also tasked with building the group’s multimodal offering in Europe in order to speed transportation decarbonisation.
In June 2024, GEODIS expanded its rail freight services with another fixed schedule connection between Poland and Spain.
