Hiab, part of Cargotec, has launched the new JONSERED iZ.18R HD recycling crane, equipped with the advanced control system SPACEevo for improved productivity and safer operations.
For JONSERED, the introduction of this new model marks its entry into the 18 to 19 terametres market.
The new model is equipped with the SPACEevo control system, which enhances safety and personalisation to boost efficiency. The Olsbergs Q200 valve completes the new hydraulics, sensors, and cables, providing long-lasting durability for frequent use cycles.
According to Hiab, the JONSERED iZ.18R HD recycling crane is specifically designed to endure at least eight-hour working cycles, classifying its structure as an S3.

The crane is available in several variants, with reaches ranging from 8.6 metres to 10 metres. To meet a wide range of operator needs, both models are available with a high seat, side seat (left and right side), platform, and cabin configurations.
Hiab confirmed that the available versions at launch will include the high seat configuration positioned in the middle and the side seat options, with platform and cabin configurations to be introduced later.
The control stations offer various optional configurations, including mechanical steering (2+2), remote control, and electric joysticks. These electric joysticks are weatherproof and do not require a protective cover.
Paired with the Olsbergs Q200 main valve, these joysticks are a new feature when combined with the high seats. All crane and stabiliser functions are operated through the joysticks.
Earlier this year, Hiab announced that it received two significant orders for Hiab equipment in the US, which were collectively worth up to $40 million.
More recently, the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority authorised Cargotec’s prospectus for a partial demerger of Cargotec and the listing of Kalmar.
