South Korea's Hyundai Merchant Marines (HMM) is the best carrier line in the world for being on-time for port calls, according to SeaIntel's latest report.
The Denmark-based market global intelligence provider revealed that HMM, the 14th largest container shipping company in the world by TEU capacity, has made its debut appearance at the top of the charts after reaching an 85.4% on-time maintenance of its sailing schedule for August 2017.
SeaIntel said that the liner had the highest figure among shipping companies checked, gaining 10.2% on the 75.2% worldwide average for 18 leading shipping lines.

Compared to the month before, the latest reading marks a 1.3% gain from the previous month that pushed the company up from fourth place.
HMM recently strengthened its shipping connections by joining as a junior partner in the 2M Alliance partnership between Maersk Line and Mediterranean Shipping Company.
Excluding its partners in 2M, the on-time performance of HMM jumped to 94.6%.
