Hutchison Ports BEST celebrates arrival of Premier Alliance
Hutchison Ports BEST has welcomed the Ocean Network Express (ONE) Frontier, the first Premier Alliance ship at the Catalan terminal.

The 15,258 TEU vessel, measuring 366 metres long and 51 metres wide, is part of the Mediterranean Pacific South 2 (MS2) service, covering the Asia-Mediterranean route with stops in Pusan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Shekou, Singapore, Tangier, Valencia, Barcelona, Genoa, Fos, Leam Chabang, Cai Mep, and back to Pusan.

Guillermo Belcastro, CEO of Hutchison Ports BEST, emphasized that this stopover marks a key milestone in strengthening commercial ties between BEST and the ONE, Yang Ming, and HMM alliance.

During the visit, a metope was presented to the ship’s captain, Theresh Colonne.

The event was attended by representatives from the Port Authority of Barcelona (Carles Mayol and Eduard Moyà), ONE (Albert Sariñena and Joan Cantarell), and Hutchison Ports BEST (Guillermo Belcastro and Jorge Moreno).

Belcastro said: “With the arrival of this new alliance, we reaffirm our dedication to not only offer high-quality services to our customers, but also to increase BEST’s connectivity by making exporters and importers who use our terminal more competitive.”

In January, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) acquired a new batch of container handling cranes for Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port, strengthening its fleet of advanced remote-controlled, electric-powered equipment.
