Konecranes has attained the IEC 62443-4-1 cybersecurity certification for Port Solutions and Industrial Equipment products offered to container handling, shipyards, process industries and general manufacturing customers.
The IEC 62443 is a series of standards addressing cybersecurity for operational technology in automation and control systems.
The certification reflects Konecranes’ role as a forerunner in the industry for secure product development processes.
This follows on from the earlier achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security.

“Cybersecurity has become one of the most important factors for critical infrastructure customers when purchasing new products and services,” said Hannu Oja, Vice President, Technology at Konecranes.
“It’s critical that security is integrated to our product development processes from the beginning and becomes a part of our digital DNA, similar to how safety has been for a long time.”
