Konecranes, TBA collaborate on warehouse automation success

Konecranes and TBA have combined their warehouse management and automation teams into a single division within Konecranes’ Industrial Equipment business area.

Combining their two areas of business aims to deliver growth opportunities within the warehouse management and automation field while giving their respective customers access to even more experience and capabilities to enhance efficiency and productivity.

The integration of the two teams began on 1 January 2025 and is expected to be completed by early Q2.

“I see this as a huge opportunity for TBA Leicester,” said Managing Director Andrew McKaig.

“Combining our team’s warehouse management and automation expertise with Konecranes’ technical abilities, brand awareness, and reputation will no doubt open the door to new customers – but it will also allow us to further improve our offering to our existing users.”

Agilon Director Vesa Hämetvaara agrees: “Agilon’s state-of-the-art storage system has revolutionised the operation of our customers’ warehouses.

“Combining this with TBA’s 30 years of warehouse management and automation experience and Autostore’s integration expertise is an exciting proposition for our team and customers.”

Last month, Haivanship (HVS) announced it is growing its Konecranes fleet with two Lloyd’s-certified Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald ESP.9B cranes on barge.
