A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk), through Maersk Contract Logistics in the Philippines, has opened its largest distribution centre in the nation to date, a 10-hectare site in Calamba, Laguna.
The facility, known as the Maersk Optimus Distribution Center, is the company’s flagship warehouse in the Philippines.

It will function as a transportation hub for southern Luzon. Its 75-dock spread includes a Fleet Operational Control Centre (FOCC), which enables effective control of its trucking fleet and maximises operational efficiency.
The facility aspires to be a LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) distribution centre, utilising technology that promotes energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction.
