Mawani, MEDLOG invest $40 million logistics park at King Abdulaziz Port

MAWANI and MEDLOG, the logistics arm of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), have invested a value exceeding 150 million riyals ($40 million) to the integrated Logistics Park at Dammam’s King Abdulaziz Port.

Omar Hariri, President of the Saudi Ports Authority MAWANI, said that laying the cornerstone of the Logistics Park goes with the goals of MAWANI’s pivotal role in building a flourishing and sustainable maritime sector.

Due to its strategic location and its close proximity to Jubail Industrial City and major urban centres in the Eastern Region, the new logistics park is enabled to enhance its logistics operations, reported MAWANI.

The area of the new park is 100,000 square metres, with a capacity of 300,000 TEU annually.

It aims to facilitate the growth of shipping connectivity, and global logistics services, and to raise the quality and efficiency of the services delivered to local and international customers across the Kingdom.

In October 2023, MAWANI won the Advanced Port Infrastructure Award at the Landmarks in Logistics Awards 2023, held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

More recently, MAWANI signed a land lease contract for the Saudi Sales Company to establish a logistics zone at Jeddah Islamic Port, with a total area of 54,000 square metres.
