MSC enhances Sentosa-Shikra service

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is enhancing its Sentosa-Shikra pendulum service.

The first vessel operating on the updated rotation will be MSC Altair, voyage number GA351A, expected to be in Busan on 22 December 2023.

This standalone service will now include a port call at Karachi, Pakistan, providing a direct service between Asia, Pakistan, and US West Coast.

According to MSC, this will not only open new business opportunities but will also improve interconnectivity and transit times between Southeast Asia, China, IPAK, and the US West Coast.

Earlier this month, Ellerman City Liners signed with MSC to use MSC capacity and its own independent vessel for shipping between ScanBaltic, Northern Europe, and the US Atlantic Coast.

Additionally, the carrier was ranked as the top carrier for reliability in October 2023, according to Sea-Intelligence.
