MSC revamps West Med-WAF service with Turkish connection

MSC has enhanced its shipping offering to connect Turkey and West Africa.

As the Türkiye-WAF market expands, the carrier said the decision to upgrade its West Med-WAF service directly meets customer needs and supports trade between the regions.

MSC will be the only carrier offering such direct connections.

The service will be renamed Türkiye-West Med-WAF service to reflect the change, and will start on 21 February with the MSC Aniello from Tekirdag.

The port rotation will as follows:

Tekirdag – Derince – Iskenderun – Gioia Tauro – Leghorn – Genoa – Fos-sur-Mer – Valencia – Las Palmas – Dakar – Abidjan – Tema – Lomé – Tincan/Lagos – Lomé – Abidjan – Las Palmas – Gioia Tauro – Tekirdag.

MSC was once again the most expansionist among the big carriers in 2022, adding 321,500 TEU to its fleet capacity.
