OOCL's two 24,188 TEU vessels commence operation

Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) has celebrated the first trip of its two new 24,188 TEU mega vessels.

With the arrival of OOCL Finland and OOCL Sweden, the company has received 10 eco-friendly giant containerships of the same kind.

The vessels were built by Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS) and Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS), respectively.

The two vessels are serving OOCL’s Asia-Europe service LL1.

The port rotation is as follows:

Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Yantian – Singapore – Cape of Good Hope – Felixstowe – Zeebrugge – Gdansk – Wilhelmshaven – Cape of Good Hope – Singapore – Yantian – Qingdao.

In February, OOCL launched its newest mega containership, the OOCL Abu Dhabi.
