Greenock and KGV ports, part of Peel Ports’ Clydeport Cluster, have reached a significant milestone by achieving ISO-9001 re-certification.
The scope of the certification has been extended to include Dublin Port.
ISO-9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems, designed to ensure that organisations consistently meet customer requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
The re-certification process for ISO-9001 involves thoroughly evaluating an organisation’s quality management systems, ensuring that they continue to meet the stringent requirements set by the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO).
By incorporating Dublin Port into the ISO-9001 certification, Peel Ports ensures that all three major ports within the Clydeport Cluster – Greenock, KGV, and Dublin – are now ISO-9001 accredited.

Commenting on the achievement, Jim McSporran, Clydeport Port Director, said: “ISO-9001 re-certification is an important achievement that validates our approach towards delivering high-quality outcomes across the Clydeport Cluster.
“I’d like to congratulate our EHS Managers, Hugh Hardie and Ross Taylor, for driving this work forward so effectively,” McSporran added.
In June 2023, Peel Ports Group invested £10 million ($12.6 million) on a new outer lock gates at the Port of Liverpool.
