The Port of Antwerp-Bruges has reported a container on fire at Waaslandhaven, leading to the temporary suspension of terminal operations.
On 24 June at 5.30 am (CEST), the port reported that maritime activity was momentarily disrupted at Deurganckdok. Emergency personnel were on the site to contain the fire.
The port added that the problem was resolved around 7.20 am, almost two hours after the initial report of the incident.

The container has now been relocated to a safe place.
The port noted that everyone involved is making every effort to restore all activities as soon as possible and that maritime traffic can resume in Deurganckdok.
