The Port of Gdańsk has announced a record net profit of around PLN 264 million ($68 million) after serving 3,559 commercial seagoing vessels and handling 77.4 million tonnes of cargo.
In the past two years, liquid fuels accounted for 51 per cent of total cargo handling, followed by general freight (30.2 per cent) and containerised goods (23.4 million tonnes).
The Baltic Hub Container Terminal, the largest container terminal in the Baltic Sea, handled 2.25 million TEUs.
This was followed by coal (7.8 million tonnes, 10.2 per cent), other bulk products such as aggregates or sulphur (3.5 million tonnes, 4.5 per cent), and grain (2.9 million tonnes, 3.7 per cent).

By 2024, the cargo handling structure will reflect the average capacity of commercial vessels visiting the Port of Gdańsk.
During the year, 3,559 vessels were served (43 less than in 2023), with the average GT in 2024 increasing by 1.6 per cent to 25,025.
