The Port of Long Beach has won Asia Cargo News’ annual award for best West Coast Seaport in North America for the fourth consecutive year.
The honour was announced during the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards held recently in Hong Kong.
“To be named best West Coast Seaport in North America for the fourth time is a fantastic honour,” said Port of Long Beach Executive Director Mario Cordero.
“I’d like to thank our waterfront workforce and industry stakeholders who work around the clock to keep cargo moving in a sustainable, green way.”

Asia Cargo News hosts and organises the awards ceremony yearly to recognise top seaports, shipping lines and other logistics industry leaders.
More than 15,000 readers of Asia Cargo News nominated leading companies for each category, then determined the winner from a list of eight finalists in each category.
“We would like to thank Asia Cargo News and its readers for the award; it is an honour to be recognised and we’re proud to continue to keep supply chain partners satisfied while remaining committed to environmental sustainability,” said Sharon L. Weissman, President of the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners.
“Our dedication to excellent service, strategic infrastructure investments and our zero-emissions goals allow us to keep our customers’ goods moving rapidly, efficiently and sustainably.”
Most recently, the Long Beach Harbor Commission approved the $170 million deepening projects to improve navigation, commerce, and safety along the channel.
The work will allow the port to welcome newer, cleaner, and more efficient cargo vessels.
