Prodevelop has presented the results of its Posidonia Port CDM, the result of a collaboration with Puertos del Estado and the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA).
The Distribution Committee of the State Ports Compensation Fund selected the project from the 2020 request to receive a grant from the Ports 4.0 Fund of the state-owned port system.
Posidonia Port CDM is a technology that optimises vessel port operations during a port visit by exchanging information in real time between the numerous actors involved.

The system gives indications based on the platform’s monitoring of occurrences, allowing for more informed and effective decision-making.
Jesús Medina, Head of the Technological Development Area of the APBA, said: “Thanks to the use of Posidonia Port CDM, it has been possible to reduce waiting times at the departure of ships by 50 per cent.”
Three months later, iTerminals 4.0, a research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) project promoted by Prodevelop, received the award in the Innovation category of the Waterborne Days.
