Prodevelop, an IT solutions company, has received the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Foundational Technical Review (FTR) certification for its Posidonia Port Community System (PCS).
This certification comes two months after Prodevelop received the AWS FTR certification for its Posidonia Terminal 4.0. product.
The AWS FTR allows companies to identify and correct vulnerabilities in their software or solutions.
Posidonia PCS aims to keep up with the high-quality security, reliability and operational standards set by Amazon.
Carlos Pascual, Chief Commercial Officer at Prodevelop, stated: “Our goal is to strengthen our portfolio of SaaS solutions, and to achieve this we must add security certifications into our roadmap.”

Blanca Teresa Girón Mesa, Digitalisation and IT Manager, Port of Gijón, said: “As customers of Prodevelop and users of Posidonia PCS in the cloud, knowing that AWS has certified them is a great peace of mind.
“Because we have the guarantee of a large company like Amazon to ensure the high quality of the software and in a sector such as the maritime, it is essential.”
Prodevelop believes that this ceritification benefits Posidonia PCS users by mitigating workload hazards and assisting them in carrying out their everyday chores more successfully, with more security and peace of mind.
In March of this year, Prodevelop launched the open call project entitled WATERPORTS which aims to support environmental managers of port authorities.
One month later, Prodevelop completed the migration of its Posidonia PCS to the cloud for the Port Authority of Gijón.
