PTI partners with Port of Barcelona & Smart Ports: Piers of the Future

PTI is excited to announce that it will be once again partnering with the Port of Barcelona for its annual Smart Ports: Piers of the Future event this year.

The three-day event held at the Port of Barcelona last year had over 50 keynote speakers, 13 panel sessions, and viewers from 95 countries.

Taking place on 15, 16, and 17 November, for 2022 Smart Ports: Piers of the Future focuses on five essential attributes:

• Partnerships
• Oceans
• Resilience
• Technology
• Start-ups

Barcelona is partnering with six global port leaders as part of the event: Antwerp-Bruges; Busan; Hamburg; Los Angeles; Montreal; and Rotterdam.

The ports will collectively provide use cases in areas including sustainability, innovation, and upskilling workforces.

In May this year the Port of Barcelona launched its Innovation Plan, placing emphasis on economic and social growth.

PTI will be bringing you exclusive interviews and Q&As from Port of Barcelona speakers in the run-up to the event.
