SC Ports resume operations after software issue

SC Ports has successfully brought gate and yard operations back online, resuming full functionality at all marine terminals and Inland Port Greer following a recent software issue.

Wando Welch Terminal and North Charleston Terminal will resume normal operating hours from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm local time on 22 May.

Inland Port Greer will continue to operate 24/7, maintaining around-the-clock service.

Cargo pick-ups and drop-offs are now being accepted at all marine terminals and Inland Port Greer.

Efforts are ongoing to restore operations at Inland Port Dillon. Currently, no cargo pick-ups or drop-offs will be accepted at this location. SC Ports assures stakeholders that updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.

To support the maritime community and mitigate disruptions caused by the outage, the port authority extended operating hours at Wando Welch and North Charleston terminals. These gates remained open until 7:00 pm local time on 21 May, offering additional time for motor carriers and cargo owners to conduct their business.

SC Ports reported steady container volumes in April, moving 215,058 TEU and 119,840 pier containers.
