Yang Ming has appointed Cliff Pai, currently Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, as President.
Pai will assume the role on 1 August.
He joined the company in 1984 and served in various roles including Chairman of YES Logistics Corp., a subsidiary of Yang Ming Group, and Managing Director of Yang Ming (Mediterranean) Company.

President Patrick Tu, who assumed office on 12 November 2020, has focused on enhancing Yang Ming’s operational performance and optimising its cost competitiveness.
During his leadership, the corporation reportedly made record-high earnings from 2021 to 2022 and maintained profitability for four years running.
Under the senior management rotation structure, President Tu will take on the new post of Senior Executive Vice President on the same date.
Recently, the company announced the appointment of Professor Feng-Ming Tsai as the new Chairman.
