YILPORT has announced that its Gävle Container Terminal will receive an additional weekly call.
This improvement is part of Ocean Network Express’s (ONE) extension of its Scandinavia Baltic Express (SBX) service, which now includes YILPORT Gävle in its expanded loop.
YILPORT Gävle’s recent expansion, which was finished in 2021, is now a prominent container terminal on Sweden’s east coast, with a capacity of 600,000 TEU per year.

This development entailed adding 75,000 square metres of land, building a new dock with three cranes, and installing six automated RTG cranes with chilled container storage capabilities.
The first call is scheduled for October, and the service will traverse its modified route weekly thereafter.
The new route includes stops in Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Rauma, in addition to current stops in Fredericia and Gdańsk. Furthermore, the new route includes two calls to Gdynia every cycle.
Niclas Helgesson, Customer Relations Manager at YILPORT Nordic, said: “The opportunity to receive another weekly call demonstrates that our investment in the container terminal was vital for the region. With more connections to Europe and global hubs like Antwerp and Rotterdam, more efficient logistics solutions will be available for import and export companies in the region.”
