ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, an Israeli container line, has released its operating and financial figures for the full year of 2022.
ZIM reported handling 3.38 million TEU in 2022, a 3 per cent decrease from the previous year.
ZIM reported a total net income of $4.6 billion in 2022.
ZIM reports that the elevated freight rates were the main cause of the carrier’s overall revenues rising to $12.5 billion in 2022 from $10.7 billion in 2021.

“We are pleased to have drawn on our strong performance to declare a fourth-quarter dividend of approximately $769 million, or $6.40 per share,” stated Eli Glickman, President & CEO of ZIM.
This report comes less than a month after ZIM and HAI AN Transport and Stevedoring Joint-stock Company (HATS) announced a new joint venture to provide domestic shipping services in Vietnam.
